Another blizzard? Hmph. Some mother, that Nature is, didn't even remember my birthday. Well, screw her. Let's celebrate! From now until March 21st (Dear Edna's anniversary) all ready-to-ship items are 30% off! Right now, that includes all but four aprons! And I intend to add to the sale as the month goes on, so stay posted. Nothing like a little retail therapy to cure the winter blues, right? That and birthday cake for breakfast. :)

BLACK FRIDAY SALE

It's true! I'm jumping on the Black Friday/Small Saturday/Cyber Monday/Whatever You Want To Call It bandwagon and offering free shipping worldwide all weekend. My shop has never been this full before (we're spilling onto page 3 now, people), so get out your list and start filling up that cart. The shipping rates will disappear at midnight tonight.

If you need an extra nudge, don't forget the Canada Post holiday delivery deadlines are coming up quick. This Sunday, Dec. 1st is actually the last day that international customers can place their orders and have them arrive by Christmas. Canadians and Americans have until Dec. 9th.

I also want to remind my local fans that you can find Dear Edna at craft shows for the next three weekends, starting with the Made By Hand Show at the Hamilton Convention Centre this Saturday, November 30th. It promises to be a pretty spectacular show, with over 100 handmade vendors, free photos with Santa for the kiddies, and... ME! Haha! All the usual Dear Edna fare will be there for you to browse in person as well as some extra special goodies, like pillows, embroidery and my Mom's crochet! I hope to see you there!

I was flipping through my calendar last night and realized Father's Day is only two weeks away! Ah! Did it slip your mind too? Lucky for you, I feel your pain and have decided to make things a little easier on the forgetful sons and daughters of the world by offering a last minute Father's Day deal — free shipping on all men's and reversible aprons! Shipping usually takes two weeks, so this deal is happening for this weekend only. Get ye to the shop and have a look around. You know your dad would look spiffy behind the grill or puttering around his workshop in these duds. I know mine sure does! :)

Numbers and Letters

I have good news and bad news. Bad news... I've been number crunching. And no matter what way I work the numbers, I keep coming to the same conclusion — I have to raise my prices. There's no way around it, it just has to be done.

Now, before you turn your back on ol' Edna, to soften the blow I have two special offers for you. First, I'm giving you a one-month grace period before the new prices take effect. On November 1st, I'll list my new prints, products and price points. Second, I've been thinking for awhile now about offering hand embroidery as an add-on feature for all my products. Names, initials, monograms, that sort of thing. To test the waters a bit, I'm going to offer this service FREE for one whole month. Crazy? Maybe. But I'd like to give it a try before the holiday season hits. Please feel free to contact me for more details.

Dear Edna turns TWO today! Can you believe it? My baby has survived another year and what a year it was! If the first year was all about testing the waters and facing a lot of scary firsts, the second year was about getting comfortable standing on two feet and growing like a weed. One day she's going to be all grown up.

I can keep up this baby analogy all day, be the proud mama pulling out the photo album and bragging about each tiny step, but to tell you the truth, it's not all about me. Dear Edna wouldn't exist at all without all of your support. There's no such thing as a business without customers, and I'm convinced I have the absolute best! Thank you so much!

As you've probably noticed, I don't do sales very often, but it seems like the least I can do for all of your generosity over the last two years.
